What started as a demonstration, has manifested into a full fledged civil war between numerous groups in Syria, and civilians are in the midst of it. According to the BBC, and several sources, 250,000 people have lost their lives due to such conflict. And it is a tragedy indeed.
While we #PrayForParis, I can't help but to also want to pray for Syrians, especially the ones who have either diedtrying to flee, died in the comfort of their homes, or scared for their lives.
But .. of course, as with all things, the conservatives, and Republicans refuse to allow such refugees to enter our free nation.
Minorities can't even get a bill that protects them from the reasonable fearing of police brutality, and that's a fact.
When I hear these comments that House Speaker Paul Ryan (R), it makes me wonder if White American lives more important than the others? What about our "land of the free, and home of the brave" trademark? Are we just going to abandoned that too?
The House is essentially passing a bill that closes the doors in the face of people in need, just like how they've turned their backs on people on people on this soil, by not addressing the real concerns of minority citizens, like police brutality, gentrification, and racism on college campuses.
We have thelargest defense budget, but yet still we need EXTRA reassurance that we are protected.. oops, I meant they.
